About

Founded in 2005 and based in Bengaluru, Reforest India works to reverse environmental degradation by mobilising communities and corporates to plant trees across Karnataka. Beyond planting, they develop food forests on marginalised farmland to create income for small farmers, and run a range of community relief programs from ration distribution to school infrastructure support.

Programmes

Community Tree Planting

Structured planting sessions with corporate and community volunteers: 60 people across 13 sessions, 1,392 trees planted annually.

Food Forests for Marginal Farmers

Fruit trees planted on barren or neglected farmland to augment income for small and marginal farmers in Karnataka.

Women Empowerment & Farmer Training

Ongoing partnership with BOSCH India Foundation to deliver skills training for women and agricultural capacity building for farmers.

Community Relief Programs

Distribution of ration kits, blankets, and school infrastructure to underserved communities and government schools across Karnataka.
